Vintage Prada

Finding vintage heels is nice, but vintage Prada is even better. I love the little brown flap that goes up. The brown and beige are perfect together and I love the square toe. I have never really seen a heel like them, so I treasure them even more. Luckily, the dust bag was still with them and they are currently on display in my closet. I am not sure how often I will wear these, but they are still in mint condition and they are my new favorite piece!

Life in Pictures

A picture is worth a thousand words, right? I am a true believer of this, so today I am going to take you into the inside of my camera roll and share with you a few of my recent pictures just so you can see some of my life adventures from a different point of view. Enjoy!

My signed copy of Rebel: City of Indra by Kendall and Kylie Jenner. I met the both of them in NYC recently and they are such sweethearts. They are even prettier in person and I can't wait to read their book this summer!

My first try at the bow bun. It looked super cute, but I don't think I will be wearing it out!

Raquel Fact: I love vintage. Vintage clothes, magazines, house decor, and everything else. I got so excited when I got my hands on this Kodak Vigilant Six-20. I have it on display in my room and it is the perfect piece!

At a recent model casting I attended, I ran into the famous actress Tasha Smith who was holding an acting class in the same building. She is gorgeous and I was so happy to meet her.

Runway posing class....our newest project is picking out all of out favorite magazine ads and perfecting the poses!
Selfies with one of my favorite MK cases.
So I am am a big Baby Lips fan if you didn't know.

I loveeee how french braids look with my highlights.

Gelato on a sunny day in the city :)

I guess you can see my puppy is a fan of the hair flower trend.

Being my usual foodie self and testing out a new sushi restaurant.

Shot taken by press at my last fashion show.

Macarons are my love.

One word: yum.

Gotta love a sunset :)

True...true.

Commercial filming!

My first time in a while getting to watch a fashion show and not model in it!

Chanel Samples

If there is one thing that gets me into a happy mood, it is Chanel. I remember my first trip into a Chanel store, it was pure bliss. I looked around in awe and landed my eyes from bag to bag. Anyway, I am not going to turn this into a childhood flashback but I will tell you about my most recent trip. Currently I have been wanting to pick up a new classy fragrance which led me to right into Chanel. The worker was kind enough to give me a few samples so I could test them out for a few days and then come back when I decide which one I like the most. Usually I am the type of person who just buys perfume on the spot, but every article I read always says to give it time to find the perfect one because the "smell changes over time" and "scents smell different on you compared to the testing papers". For the past three days, I have experimented with three different scents: Coco Noir, Chance, and (of course) N°5. I was generally familiar with N°5 and Chance, but I still decided to give them another test run.

Chanel Coco Noir- This scent is very elegant and I would not use it as an everyday scent, but more for special occasions. It is very warm and gives a nice appeal. It comes off as a little strong, but in a good way. It is a great change from the usual floral scent. Mystery is the main element found in Coco Noir. I think I may have to purchase this one!

Chanel Chance- Chance is a lovely scent that is perfect for summer. It is drastically different in comparison to its sister, Coco Noir. This one is more citrus/floral. It is a nice girl-next-door scent if you understand what I mean. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary, just a pretty, floral perfume.

Chanel N°5- One of the most universally known scents since 1921. I love this perfume for its signature smell and classiness, but I wouldn't personally wear it often. It is very feminine and is long lasting for sure. High-standards and the Marilyn Monroe persona goes along with this strong scent and a little goes a long way.

My favorite out of the three had to be Coco Noir just because it is different than my usual signature scents and it seemed unique. The others were still lovely for sure. Are you a Chanel perfume addict?

Modcloth Uniquely You - The Twirl Next Door

I was recently contacted by Modcloth to put together a Polyvore set featuring their beautiful dress, The Twirl Next Door. If you haven't heard about Modcloth, you have to check out their online store. They have so many dresses for every occasion. I can get lost on their site for hours looking at all of their beautiful clothing and accessories (my favorite!)!

This dress features a beautiful neckline that consists of a very intricate design. I love how the dress is black and beige instead of the classic black and white. The Twirl Next Door is perfect for summer or actually any season when worn with the right accessories. Another really good plus about this dress is that it can look fantastic on any age. It also runs from an XS to 4X to accommodate almost every single size.

It is so easy to dress this look up or down, but I wanted to show a more classy and elegant look. Since the dress has beige, I was able to pair it with a cute pair of sparkly Mary-Janes to match. Mint green or Tiffany teal has been one of the pastel colors hitting runways and magazines everywhere and it is really such a beautiful color. This inspired me to make that the statement color for the accessories to really enhance the dress and make it pop. Using different shades let it look put together, but not completely matched up. Since the neckline is the focus of the dress, I did not find a necklace to be necessary because the beauty is in the simplicity of the top of the dress.

Other than this I also have to show you some of my other favorite pieces in their current collections:

Loganberry Beautiful Dress in Pink

I adore this dress so much because I love its coral color. The lace makes it look so girly and pretty. The skirt flows very easy and can be paired with so many different types of shoes.

Maxi dresses are all the rage and I have been wearing them everywhere. They bring a classiness back and look gorgeous with and for anything. I love this maxi dress because of the intricate pattern continuation from the top to the bottom of the dress. The bow adds an even cuter touch!

Perfect for the kitty lover, I think this newspaper dress covered with feline friends is too cute. This must-have is just overall super fun and it is always good to have something a little different than your usual look!

I hope you loved these dresses as much as I did. Tell me which one is you favorite and why? xoxo..Raquel
