Mini Drugstore Haul

If you know me, I am not one to wear makeup too often except when modeling when the makeup artist does it for me (which has taught me many tricks and tips!). When I do makeup on my own, I am fond of my favorite high end brands such as MAC, Urban Decay, etc. All of these brands apply smooth and makes it easy for natural looks. I do have a few drug store items that I really do love though. Like Maybelline makes some amazing mascaras! My latest personal challenge was to go to Rite Aid and purchase five items that total less than $30. Well, I won the challenge and I love every single product I purchased. All five things were pretty impressive and they will be put to good use!

1. L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifer BB Cream-Deep ($10). I am pretty sure this BB Cream is magical or something. If you want a smooth, glowy, flawless, and lightweight look, this is for you! When you squeeze the tube, the cream is a sliver tint. Once you apply it to your face, it matches up to your skin tone and it looks amazing. You can't feel it and you need no other makeup on your face with this. Amazing product for the summer (and every other season)

2. Wet n' Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner-Black ($3). Well, I have to say that for the price, this is a pretty good product. It goes on smooth and makes creating the winged look really easy! It does take a careful hand to apply it perfectly, but if done right, you will adore it.

3. Wet n' Wild Mega Glo Illuminating Powder-Strike A Pose Rose ($4). I picked up this product to compare it to Maybelline Hi-Light. I have to say, I liked it even better. Even though this is considered a powder, it acts more like a blush. The pigment is just fantastic. The rosy glow looks beautiful in any light and it is one of my favorite buys!

4. Wet n' Wild Cover All- Medium ($2). After my makeup artist applying stick cover up below my eyes at a shoot, I have been wanting to experiment. Luckily I don't have dark circles underneath my eyes, but this product is perfect for brightening up your face. It is also useful when contouring!

5. NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream- Milan ($6). Favorite lip cream of all time. Best pigment, great price, and it is long lasting. You won't even notice that it is there. No complaints here!

Born Pretty Store: Lucky Bag

As you know, I am a big fan of the Born Pretty Store which you can see in one of my previous posts. While shopping, I saw so many different accessories that I loved, I didn't know what to pick out. Then I came across a lucky bag that contains three surprise jewelry/accessory items. Who doesn't like a cool surprise? For $2.99 (with a retail of $12.99) and free shipping, I had to buy it.

I ended up with three necklaces, which is good since I have been wanting some new ones. The first necklace is gold and the chains drape down. I can't wait to pair it with a solid dress as it is so intricate yet still classy. The next is almost like a choker and it is a little different from my style, but I am excited to try it. The lace is very different! Finally, the last one has to be my favorite! If you look at the pendant, it is a origami bird. I have never seen something like this and I was really surprised at how cute it is!

All of the necklaces were nice and I was impressed with the quality. If you also want new summer accessories from the Born Pretty Store, definitely check it out! Also, you can score 10% off by using the code "RAQT10".
