DOUCCE HOLIDAY 2017 SET
I told myself I am only bringing the things (& people) I really like into 2018 with me. Doucce gave me this set and it is one of those things that I will be bringing. As much as I love makeup, I'm not really one to aim for eye makeup involving color, BUT I am trying. My comfort zone lies in smokey eyes and golden hues, but 2018 is for getting fancy. I absolutely love the colors and pigment in this set. Besides the shadow & blush compact, the mascara (volumizing? yes please.), eyeliner, and lip stain + gloss is included.

Not gonna lie, but this has to be the best hair line that I've used at a drugstore cost. In the past I have paid $50 for shampoo + the coinciding conditioner and pretty much gotten the same results except this one is around $16 combined.
Their PR team introduced me to some of their products and impressed is an understatement. The Grow Long line promotes hair growth and it doesn't leave any residue, just vitamin E.
STICKERAPP
I am a proud Happy Planner and if you are not familiar it is a popular line of planners and basically a lifestyle. Happy Planning revolves around using an stickers to make unenjoyable events (i.e. laundry day) or unforgettable memories 10x better. It's a planner and the person planning has the ability to get really creative with their book. Anywho, I have many of the Happy Planner sticker books, but when Stickerapp introduces me to their company I decided to make my own.
Basically I picked images off Google that I liked and Stickerapp prints them out for you on heavy sticker paper. It's made my planner so much more personal now that I have OMNIVOGUES and cutesy fashion stickers.

In addition to the coffee body scrub CocoRoo has a line of three organic coconut moisturizers: naturally naked, mint condition, and lost in lavender (my favorite!). Coconut oil is a known must for gorgeous skin and it is the key ingredient in the lotions. The aroma is so nice..like I wish you could smell it through the screen. It smells very natural, not artificial like perfumy lotions. Besides being used as a typical moisturizer it has very soothing effects thanks to the oils, so it seems perfect for other uses like massage oil (if heated enough), makeup remover, soothing sunburn, lipbalm, and so on. Natural products have so many uses it's like magic.
Something I didn't know about coconut oil is that it easily hardens when cold, so I ran the tubes under warm water for a few seconds to soften and they were good to go. I am glad that it's in a tube because products in jars collect bacteria much easier and I'm such a germaphobe. What I really love is that I can actually read the ingredients on the tubes and know what they are without googling. There are only a few ingredients in each product and they are all beneficial for skin. I really care about what I put on my body, so I'm totally into this line. Oh, and it is made right here in the USA. I'm hooked.

I love the winter. My hair really despises it. Question, is it just me or does anyone else notice their hair not being as moisturized and beachy as it is when its warmer? Get ready, we are stripping down to the bare minimum of skincare solutions. You know when your skin desperately needs a boost after being deprived of sleep and running on coffee 24/7. Yeah, sadly that needs to stop sooner or later. I was on the hunt for a few new items to help keep up with my on-the-go lifestyle and The Naked Goods must have heard me loud and clear because they sent a package of goodies. They are 100% natural, organic, and wildharvested, so you know every ingredient touching your skin. There is something so sketchy about a brand that can't blatantly tell you the truth about what is in their products, so I love that The Naked Goods tells it all.
But honestly isn't the packaging the cutest? Like I am the biggest sucker for presentation and they got me. Minimalism + Luxy Vibes = Happy Raquel. I could keep going on, but the actual important part is what is inside the containers. I received the face oil and lip butter which are both ah-mazing to say the least.
The oil is just the perfect thing to keep you all glowy and refreshed. It's kind of a magic potion that makes you look like you just left the spa after getting a mud mask without going to the spa and getting a mud mask. The lip butter is totally worth it and it super long lasting. I'm talking about five plus hours of wear people and it is a really creamy formula. I've been using it by itself or under matte lipsticks which tend to get dry out quicker and the lip butter has proved to be a keeper. There is no petroleum and instead has ingredients that skin craves like castor and rose oils. Did I mention that the brand is also completely cruelty free? The Naked Goods seems to be too good to be true, but thank goodness it is true!
There is nothing better than that glorious feeling when you wake up actually feeling like you stepped out of one of those skincare commercials because you are literally glowing on a Beyoncé level. I'm really not a believer of ads pawning "just buy this creme and you will look flawless in days..plus a money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied. Then you aren't satisfied and you probably aren't getting a refund anyway. Just sayin'. That's why I rather focus on the foundation (no, I do not mean buying the latest foundation at Sephora) of the matter - skincare.
I've never truly dealt with acne or anything, but obviously teenage skin is annoying and everything is trial and error. I've always used sensitive skin products just because I never reacted harsh to any of them and if it ain't broke don't fix it (especially dealing with skin). The warmer the weather gets, the lazier I get in the makeup department because who has time for that when you could be laying on a beach.
The holy grail product that I've been introduced to is Heaven Skincare Clarifying Serum which is known to be "the secret to an airbrushed skin tone". I received this to review and now I'm hooked. I never used serums before because I figured if you have the unruly oily/dry combo skin, serum was no use. Clearly, I was completely wrong. The application isn't even a 1-2-3 process, it is just one step being apply to a clean face..now you can all drop the lazy excuse. I was nervous my first application because it goes like an oil, but then it quickly began to soak in resembling a moisturizer. I use it at night after cleansing and in the morning I am left with that call me Gigi Hadid natural glow with the smoothness to go with it.
I always lean toward products with vitamins, which this one is packed with, but this is the first time I actually saw a product with loads of nutrients have visible results. I have horrible allergies (part of my love/hate thing with mother nature) causing easy bruising around nose because I am constantly blowing my nose leaving the area super dry. It's not super noticeable, but since I started with the serum the entire area has improved so much with a lot less redness. Since it is lightweight and super hydrating it can easily substitute for a moisturizer making it the perfect summer product. Highly recommending this to anyone wanting to amp up their skin and rid those imperfections.
With summer edging from around the corner something that I think is extremely important is skincare. Most people conclude that the only thing necessary for a nice body is a toned waistline. I think that healthy, radiant skin is even better though. Recently I have been so pleased using a dermatologist formulated skincare line line. Who doesn't obsess over long lashes and perfect brows? I literally think that it has taken over the beauty industry for 2015. Personally I am lucky to have pretty long and full brows. Genetics plays a role for sure along with a good lifestyle, healthy eating, exercise, and taking daily vitamins. In all honesty though, volume is somewhat harder to come by. I guess that is the whole concept of just wearing mascara, fiber lashes, or falsies, but there is nothing better than just having them naturally.
One important part of entering summer is finding the perfect scent. I never want anything too heavy during this time of the year, lightweight is key. Attracting bugs outside isn't exactly the goal when choosing a nice fragrance. Luckily, I found my new summer signature from Benefit. This eau de toilette is called laugh with me LeeLee and it has a very refreshing aroma. The scent is a sweet, floral blend that is not overpowering at all. It is the perfect size to take everywhere and it has a long lasting smell when you spritz it on your pulse points. The clean scent is perfect for the summer time. It is a little on the pricey side, but this bottle goes a long way! Also, did I mention that the bottle is so colorful and adorable?
