Lace Detail

The best part about a maxi is that they are so easy to wear. No matter how lazy you feel, sliding on a maxi dress can make you look so elegant. This is my latest favorite that I spotted online shopping at Lookbook Store and instantly headed to express checkout. I love prints and this is a lace floral which makes it not only pretty, but super lightweight for this weather.

Cinching it with this rope-belt that actually came with it added a boho touch. I paired some chunky bracelets to make the look more toned down. This could easily be glammed up for a night outfit though!

Timeless Truth Series: #3

So this is the final wrap up of reviewing the Timeless Truth Cosmetics line along with my mother. We have both noticed significant differences in our skin since using the facial masks and I really love the whole concept! They are super easy to apply and this is a post just sharing the last masks that my mom sampled! They are the Hyaluronic Acid Mask and Apple Stem Cell & Collagen.

According to my mom, the Hyaluronic Mask felt the strongest. It really hydrated all areas of the skin and it was easy to see results. It brings back youthful, smooth skin (which you can see in her picture below!). The Apple Collage Mask worked great for fine tuning creases and lines while softening areas of the face. My mom is 57 and everyone swears that we are sisters at first. Using simple products like these masks from Timeless Truth have really helped contribute to her having such youthful skin!

Doesn't my mom's skin look great for 57 years old?

Sebamed

With summer edging from around the corner something that I think is extremely important is skincare. Most people conclude that the only thing necessary for a nice body is a toned waistline. I think that healthy, radiant skin is even better though. Recently I have been so pleased using a dermatologist formulated skincare line line. Thank you Sebamed for gifting me two awesome products that I've been testing out over the past weeks!

New Online Favorite: Dresslink

Being the online shopping addict that I am (like the local postal workers know who I am because I constantly have packages), I have discovered a really chic, affordable priced online shop, Dresslink. I am always admiring those "outfit goals and fashion inspo" pages on Instagram and WeHeartIt. Dresslink literally has all of those outfits, so I am super exciting to be working with their brand!

I am in the middle of a wardrobe season conversion, so I will definitely be using Dresslink to add some new pieces into the closet. I can't even tell you the amount of time I spent choosing what to order first, so I picked these two items. The first is a really cute lace romper that I ordered in the mint shade (one of my favorite colors!) and the second is a two-piece bodycon. There will surely be outfit posts with these items to come in the near future once they arrive!

Chroma Stationary

One huge obsession of mine is stationary. Not only is it practical, but it's super cute! I've always carried little notebooks and journals around for fun ever since I can remember. I'm that girl who always gets excited for school supply shopping each year to make sure that I have certain notebooks. Also being a blogger, it is important to jot down new ideas, sketches, scheduling, and information at all times.

Teen Vogue Handbook

A couple of weeks ago I won a Teen Vogue essay contest and received their Teen Vogue Handbook: An Insider's Guide to Careers in Fashion. Being a faithful reader of the magazine forever, I was so happy. This is their brand new updated edition and I was super excited when I got the email from the headquarters stating that I won a copy! Getting a glimpse about all of the amazing fields in fashion is extremely interesting. It covers careers such as: designers, editors, digital media, stylists, models, beauty artists, photographers, and more!

Flo Accessories

When traveling I like to be as compact as possible, even though I probably still bring too much with me. Hey, it's better to be safe than sorry! No matter if I am flying somewhere or just heading out for a day trip, I am always ready with quality essentials. I teamed up with Flo Accessories to try two of their on-the-go products. Before reviewing these products, I was familiar with the company from seeing their items retailing in Ulta and Sephora. They are highly reputable which made me super excited to see what they have to offer!

Rockin Beauty

With growing technology comes awesome advancements in the beauty industry. I've been introduced to a high tech brand called Rockin Beauty known for having glosses with a "super high tech formula". Just like CC cream that would correct your skin, they managed to incorporate the same thing into a lip gloss. It contains collagen peptides that replenish your lips to reverse aging, so it's like a gloss and renewal treatment in one. Plus it is a natural plumper.

Skin Care Favorites

The only thing more complex than finding good skin care products are ones that work well together. I've been asked about how I maintain such good skin, so I decided to make a post with the products. Over the past few months, I have finally achieved a skin care routine that has been effective. Every time I used to hit a skin care isle at Ulta there was always something new and the bottle looked irresistible. In that case I usually ended up leaving with a receipt double the price than I expected.

The Battle of Versailles at F.I.T.

Last night I went to the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC for their Fashion Culture Book Signing on The Battle of Versailles: The Night American Fashion Stumbled into the Spotlight and Made History. This is written by Robin Givhan, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Criticism. I had the amazing chance to have her autograph my copy and speak to her for a bit after the show concluded. I am so excited to begin to read the book after hearing Robin illustrate the event in its entirety.

How to Prepare for the Hudson Valley Parent Magazine Cover Kid Event

If you live in the Hudson Valley and know someone between 6 months and 16 years wanting to break into the acting or modeling industry, the Cover Kid contest on April 19th at the Newburgh Mall is calling them. I am a former Hudson Valley Cover Kid and this contest gave me the skills needed to keep striving for what I wanted in the industry. I am currently an agency signed model and Miss Dutchess County Teen 2015 all at the tender age of 16!
